The plastic wrap is made of PE, PVC, and PVDC, which is safer?

Cling film can be roughly divided into three types:

The first is polyethylene, referred to as PE, this material is mainly used for food packaging, we usually buy fresh-keeping film for fruits and vegetables, including semi-finished products purchased in supermarkets, this material is used;

It is widely used, can package fatty food, and can be heated in a microwave oven, but the temperature does not exceed 110 degrees Celsius.

The second is polyvinyl chloride, referred to as PVC, this material can also be used for food packaging, but it has a certain impact on the safety of the human body; because PVC materials must be added with some plasticizers during processing to increase the film's strength. Resilience, many countries have restricted its use in food packaging materials. The PVC plastic wrap cannot pack oily food and cannot be used at high temperature.

The third is polyvinylidene chloride, referred to as PVDC, which is mainly used for the packaging of some cooked food, ham and other products. PVDC cling film: excellent oxygen resistance, odor resistance and moisture resistance performance and high heat resistance temperature, can also be used for microwave heating.

Among these three kinds of plastic wrap, the plastic wrap of PE and PVDC is safe for human body and can be used with confidence, while PVC plastic wrap contains carcinogens, which is more harmful to human body, so it must be used with caution!
