Classification of cling film

Cling films can be divided into three categories.

First is polyethylene, PE for short. Mainly used for food packaging, the fruit and vegetable film we usually buy, including semi-finished products purchased in supermarkets, are all made of this material.

Second is PVC, which can also be used for food packaging, but it has a certain impact on human safety. PVC material has good gloss and looks clear and transparent. PVC material has strong toughness, can be wide and long, but will not break, and it is easy to stick to the hands.

Third is polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), which is mainly used to package some cooked food, ham and other products. PVDC cling film is a copolymer of polyvinylidene chloride and vinyl chloride. It is characterized by oil resistance and heat resistance. It will not release harmful substances in the case of oil stains. It is also suitable for packaging foods to be heated in microwave ovens to ensure food Safety.
